Campaign Legal Center v. FEC (Case No. 20-1778) On October 16, 2020, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a Statement of Interest in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. On November 16, 2020, Plaintiffs filed a Response to DOJ’s Statement of Interest in the District Court. On January 4, DOJ filed a Reply in Support of the Statement of Interest in the District Court.
CREW, et al. v. FEC (Case No. 19-2753) On October 16, 2020, DOJ filed a Statement of Interest in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. On November 17, 2020, Plaintiffs filed a Response to DOJ’s Statement of Interest in the District Court. On January 4, DOJ filed a Reply in Support of the Statement of Interest in the District Court.
On January 6, Commissioner James E. “Trey” Trainor III spoke about campaign finance law at Texas GOP Leadership conference.

On December 29, 2020, the Commission approved meeting dates for the first half of 2021.

January 12 and 14, 2021: The Commission is scheduled to meet in executive session.
January 14, 2021: The Commission is scheduled to hold an open meeting.
January 26 and 28, 2021: The Commission is scheduled to meet in executive session.
January 28, 2021: The Commission is scheduled to hold an open meeting.

This publication identifies the federal and state agencies responsible for the disclosure of campaign finances, lobbying, personal finances, public financing, candidates on the ballot, election results, spending on state initiatives and other financial filings.

Other election-related resources
Videos on protecting U.S. elections. The FBI’s Protected Voices initiative provides videos designed to help political campaigns protect themselves from foreign influence. The 2019 videos offer guidance on ransomware, business email compromise, supply chain, social media literacy, and foreign influence operations. Other videos, released in 2018, include cyber hygiene topics such as social engineering, patching, router hardening, and app and browser safety.
