The Federal Election Commission offers many opportunities for training on the federal campaign finance laws. This page provides information on our regional conferences, educational webinars, e-learning videos and specialized online training workshops. It also explains how to invite a Commissioner or FEC staff member to speak to an organization or group.
Every election cycle, the FEC hosts two-day regional conferences where Commissioners and staff conduct a variety of technical workshops on the law. Discussion topics include fundraising, reporting and communications. Workshops are designed for those seeking an introduction to the basic provisions of the law, as well as for those more experienced in campaign finance law.
NOTE: For the 2023-2024 election cycle, the FEC will host single-day, in-person seminars at its Washington, DC, headquarters in lieu of regional conferences. Please consult the In-person seminars section for details. We plan to resume regional conferences in the 2025-2026 election cycle.
For questions about the conference program, call the FEC's Information Division at 1-800-424-9530 (menu option 6), or send an email to email@example.com.
For the 2023-24 election cycle, the FEC will host in-person training events at its headquarters in Washington, DC. Designed to foster interactive, in-person learning, these events will also be available to online participants. The seminars are open to the public, but space is limited and registration is required.
Registrants will receive detailed information before the event, including copies of training materials and instructions on how to access the FEC building or online meeting, as appropriate. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
