Conferences

Every election cycle, the FEC hosts two-day regional conferences where Commissioners and staff conduct a variety of technical workshops on the law. Discussion topics include fundraising, reporting and communications. Workshops are designed for those seeking an introduction to the basic provisions of the law, as well as for those more experienced in campaign finance law.
NOTE: For the 2023-2024 election cycle, the FEC will host single-day, in-person seminars at its Washington, DC, headquarters in lieu of regional conferences. Please consult the In-person seminars section for details. We plan to resume regional conferences in the 2025-2026 election cycle.
For questions about the conference program, call the FEC's Information Division at 1-800-424-9530 (menu option 6), or send an email to conferences@fec.gov.
In-person seminars

For the 2023-24 election cycle, the FEC will host in-person training events at its headquarters in Washington, DC. These seminars will be tailored to different types of committees and will focus on a variety of campaign finance-related topics. Designed to foster interactive, in-person learning, these events will also be available to online participants. The seminars are open to the public, but space is limited and registration is required.
Registrants will receive detailed information before the event, including copies of training materials and instructions on how to access the FEC building or online meeting, as appropriate. Email conferences@fec.gov with any questions.
