The Federal Election Commission offers many opportunities for training on the federal campaign finance laws. This page provides information on our regional conferences, educational webinars, e-learning videos and specialized online training workshops. It also explains how to invite a Commissioner or FEC staff member to speak to an organization or group.
Each year, the FEC hosts two-day regional conferences where Commissioners and staff conduct a variety of technical workshops on the law. Discussion topics include fundraising, reporting and communications. Workshops are designed for those seeking an introduction to the basic provisions of the law as well as for those more experienced in campaign finance law.
For questions about the conference program, call the FEC's Information Division at 1-800-424-9530 (menu option 6) or locally, 202-694-1100, or send an email to email@example.com and include your name, contact information and track of interest (candidate, party or corporate/labor/trade PAC).
The FEC conducts frequent webinars to help committees comply with the campaign finance law. These online workshops include day-long programs that provide an overview of the rules for candidates, parties and PACs, as well as 90-minute topic-based webinars that offer timely guidance on issue that arise during the election cycle.
All of these webinars are available online only. You can participate right at your desk, and avoid the time and expense of traveling to DC. Online materials and technical information will be provided to those who register.
Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Prepayment is required. If a webinar sells out, a waiting list will be maintained in the event there are cancellations.
