Understanding the restricted class for solicitations

Separate segregated funds (SSFs) – political committees set up and administered by a connected organization – may only solicit contributions from a “restricted class” of individuals. The definition of “restricted class” depends on the type of connected organization. To identify your SSF’s restricted class, visit the web page for corporations, trade associations, labor organizations or membership organizations, as appropriate.
