Federal Election Activity periods

August 15, 2022

With the November 8 general election approaching, state, district and local party committees should be aware that certain voter registration, voter identification, get-out-the-vote and generic campaign activities conducted at this time are considered Federal Election Activity (FEA). As such, they must be financed using federal funds or a combination of federal and Levin funds. To see the FEA periods specific to your state, visit our state-by-state FEA chart. Also, remember that a state, district or local party committee that has reportable FEA must file monthly.
