Do I have to file a Pre-General Report?

Monthly filers and authorized committees of a candidates running in the 2022 general election must file a 12-Day Pre-General Election Report, by Thursday, October 27. If you are a quarterly filing PAC or party committee, you must file a pre-general report only if your committee made contributions or expenditures in connection with the general election between October 1 and October 19, 2022. Additional reporting information, including a complete list of filing dates, is available on our Dates and deadlines page.

Staff in the Reports Analysis Division (RAD) and Electronic Filing Office will be available until 8:00 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, October 27. For questions regarding the content and filing of reports, call RAD at 800-424-9530 (press 5) or 202-694-1130. For help with technical issues relating to electronic filing, contact the Electronic Filing Office at the same toll-free number and press 4 or call 202-694-1307.
