Florida special elections reporting: 1st and 6th Congressional Districts (2025)

Updated 12/11/2024 to reflect the fact that Special Primary Elections will be held in both the 1st and 6th districts.

Florida has scheduled special elections to fill the U.S. House of Representatives seat in the 1st Congressional District, vacated by Representative Matt Gaetz, and in the 6th Congressional District, being vacated by Representative Michael Waltz. Special Primary Elections will be held January 28, 2025 and the Special General Elections will be held April 1, 2025.

Participating candidates must file additional reports in connection with these elections. Quarterly filing PACs and party committees that make previously undisclosed contributions or expenditures in connection with the special elections must also file additional reports. The complete list of deadlines and related filing information is available on the Dates and deadlines page. PACs and party committees that file monthly should continue to file according to their regular filing schedule.
