COMMISSION MEETINGS

ADMINISTRATIVE FINES

The Commission made public 10 Administrative Fine cases this week.

AF 1795 – Baldermann for Congress and Kendall Lynchey as Treasurer. The Commission made a final determination and assessed a civil penalty of $5,500.

AF 1836 – Baldermann for Congress and Kendall Lynchey as Treasurer. The Commission made a final determination and assessed a civil penalty of $250.

AF 1849 – Democratic Advancement PAC and Christopher R. Cramer as Treasurer. The Commission made a final determination and assessed a civil penalty of $1,100.

AF 1883 – Vernon Jones for Georgia and Patricia Moore as Treasurer. The Commission made a final determination and assessed a civil penalty of $5,950.

AF 1884 – DeCuir for Congress and Winston G. DeCuir, Sr. as Treasurer. The Commission made a final determination and assessed a civil penalty of $6,580.

AF 1893 – Democratic Advancement PAC and Christopher R. Cramer as Treasurer. The Commission made a final determination and assessed a civil penalty of $5,000.

AF 1910 – Baldermann for Congress and Timothy A. Baldermann as Treasurer. The Commission made a final determination and assessed no civil penalty.

AF 2037 – Faulk for Congress and Mary Lynn McKeown as Treasurer. The Commission made a final determination and assessed a civil penalty of $300.

AF 2045 – Baldermann for Congress and Kendall Lynchey as Treasurer. The Commission made a final determination and assessed no civil penalty.

AF 2102 – Kansas Republican Party and Steve Fitzgerald as Treasurer. The Commission made a final determination and assessed a civil penalty of $500.

ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION

The Commission made public three campaign finance enforcement matters that were resolved through its Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) program. For more information, see the case documents in the Enforcement Query System.

ADR 506 – Friends of Phil Steck and Cornelius D. Murray as Treasurer. The respondents agreed to terminate the committee and pay a civil penalty of $2,000.

ADR 507 – Gabrielle LeDoux for Congress and Gabrielle LeDoux as Treasurer. The Commission closed the file.

ADR 509 – Verizon Communications Inc. Good Government Club and Craig Taylor as Treasurer. The Commission closed the file.

CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORTS

November 26: Massachusetts Special Senate Pre-Primary Reports were due. For information on reporting dates for this election, click here.

RULEMAKING AND AGENCY PROCEDURES

On November 23, the Commission made public 13 comments on the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Federal Election Activity (link).  The NPRM on Federal Election Activity addresses definitions of get-out-the-vote and voter registration activity. The Commission will hold a hearing on this NPRM on December 16, 2009.
