Cut-off date for Year-End Reports

January 10, 2022

Committees often ask if they may include funds raised in January in their Year-End Reports. Under Commission regulations, the date of receipt is used for reporting purposes, so committees should include only those contributions received by December 31, 2021, on their January 31 Year-End Report. Contributions received on January 1 or afterwards are reported on committee’s next report, even if the check was dated or postmarked in December. For more information, please visit our webpage on date made vs. date received.
