Updates to FECFile and Other E-filing Software

August 9, 2021

The FEC has released new versions of its free electronic filing software, FECFile (8.3.0.3), its e-filing format specifications (8.3.0.1), and its Statement of Organization (FEC Form 1) webform. The updates require disclosure of the name and address of the Treasurer and Custodian of Records. Current FECFile users should download the new version by opening the software and following the auto-update prompts. Filers who use other electronic filing software should check with their vendor for a new version, as all software must comply with the updated format specifications. If you need assistance with this update or have any other questions about electronic filing, please call (202) 694-1307 or (800) 424-9530 and press 4 for the Electronic Filing Office.
