McGahn Departs Federal Election Commission

WASHINGTON – Donald F. McGahn II, who was appointed to serve on the Federal Election Commission in 2008, announced his resignation today.

In a statement announcing his departure, McGahn said, “It has been my honor and privilege to serve on the Federal Election Commission since 2008. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to serve the country in this role.”

After his appointment received the unanimous consent of the United States Senate, McGahn served as the Commission’s Chairman during 2008 and as the Commission's Vice Chairman during 2013.
