Lobbyist Bundling Disclosure Update

March 10, 2009

Many PACs have contacted the FEC to find out their requirements under the new lobbyist bundling disclosure rules. As noted in a previous tip, PACs that are lobbyist/registrant PACs or leadership PACs must file an amended Form 1 by March 29, 2009. Any brand new PACs that are lobbyist/registrant PACs or leadership PACs must disclose themselves as such when filing their initial Form 1 as of March 19, 2009. FEC Form 1 has been amended to accommodate these changes in the law and the new version is now available on the FEC's web site at https://transition.fec.gov/info/guidance/hlogabundling.shtml.
