FEC OPEN MEETING THURSDAY MARCH 8th – Commission to Consider Advisory Opinion Request, Final Audit reports of Kucinich for President and Larouche in 2004

The Federal Election Commission (the Commission/FEC) will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday March 8, 2007.  The Commission will consider an Advisory Opinion (AO) request from the Arizona Libertarian Party regarding its status as a State party committee.  Additionally, the Commission will consider final audit reports of two Presidential campaign committees from 2004 that received federal primary matching funds, Kucinich for President, Inc. and Larouche in 2004.

The AO request can be found at http://www.fec.gov/aos/2007/aor2007-02.pdf , along with any comments received prior to the meeting.  The draft advisory opinion response to be considered by the Commission can be found at http://www.fec.gov/agenda/2007/mtgdoc07-15.pdf .

Drafts of the final audit reports can be found at http://www.fec.gov/agenda/2007/agenda20070308.shtml.  Federal law requires the FEC to audit every Presidential campaign that receives public funds.

The meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the 9th floor hearing room at the Commission’s offices at 999 E Street N.W. in Washington.
