On Thursday, August 3, the Federal Election Commission will meet in Open Session to consider the final Audit Report for the 2004 Democratic National Convention Committee, Inc. This committee received public funds totaling $14,924,000 and was responsible for the day-to-day arrangements and operations of the Democratic Presidential nominating convention, known as the Democratic National Convention. The Federal Election Campaign Act requires that all committees that receive public funds be audited by the Commission to ensure that those funds were properly used. Meetings are held at 10 a.m. in the 9th floor hearing room at the Commission’s offices at 999 E Street N.W. in Washington.
