FEC Launches new Internet Tool
WASHINGTON - The Federal Election Commission (FEC) announced today that it is launching a new system on its website (www.fec.gov) offering automated email updates for a variety of campaign finance information. The new service will allow users to sign-up to receive notification whenever information important to them is added or changed on the Commission’s site.
Fec.gov has received more than four million visits in the last year and is an essential source for information about federal campaign finance activity and the law and regulations that guide the financing of federal campaigns. Other recent improvements to the site include Presidential campaign disclosure maps and improved methods for finding and reviewing Commission enforcement actions and Advisory Opinions.
With a single click, users can now register to receive updates for one or more specific pages at fec.gov including news releases, support for committee treasurers, updates on Commission decisions, etc. The system allows people to keep track of FEC actions in real time without receiving unwanted email about subjects not directly of interest.
To find out more about this new program and to register for updates, go to www.fec.gov and click on the blue envelope in the lower right corner of the page.
