FEC to host Denver Regional Hybrid Conference in August (2021)

March 18, 2021
FEC 2021 Denver Regional Conference

Editor's note: Due to COVID-related travel restrictions for government employees, the Commission’s August 17-18, 2021 conference will be fully-virtual.

The Commission will hold a hybrid in-person and virtual conference in Denver, Colorado, on August 17-18, 2021. At the two-day conference, Commissioners and FEC staff will conduct a variety of technical workshops on the federal campaign finance laws affecting federal candidates, political party committees, and corporate, membership, labor and trade association PACs. Workshops are designed for those seeking an introduction to the basic provisions of the law as well as those with more experience.

Registration information

The registration fee is $630 per attendee for both in-person and online participants. The registration fee increases to $680 on July 27, 2021. The fee will be 90% refundable up until 5:00 p.m. (ET) on July 16, 2021, and 50% refundable up until 5:00 p.m. (ET) on July 30, 2021. No refund will be made for cancellations received after 5:00 p.m. (ET) on July 30, 2021.

During registration, you will choose whether you’d like to attend virtually, from your home or office, or in-person, with social distancing and safety protocols in place.

You will also choose the track that applies to the type of organization you represent—a candidate’s campaign committee, a party committee or a corporate/labor/membership/trade PAC.

Beginners should register for Basics of the Law on Day 1 and Recent Developments in the Law on Day 2. More experienced participants may choose to attend Recent Developments on Day 1, rather than Basics of the Law, though some may benefit from the refresher Basics provides. On Day 2, experienced participants may choose our scenario-based Advanced Practicum or Recent Developments, if they did not attend that workshop on Day 1.

More detailed information is available on our conference website.

Hotel information

The conference will be held at the Sheraton Denver Downtown, located at 1550 Court Place, in Denver, Colorado.

After completing registration, attendees will receive a confirmation email containing a link to make hotel reservations at a group rate of $199 per night. Alternatively, you may make reservations by calling (303) 893-3333. You must identify yourself as an FEC regional conference attendee to receive the group rate.

Please note that the block of rooms is first come, first served. To ensure your spot, book your hotel after completing both steps of the registration process, but no later than July 26, 2021.
