FEC Extends Temporary Appointment of Acting General Counsel

ADVISORY TO EDITORS, CORRESPONDENTS, BROADCASTERS:

The Federal Election Commission announced today it is extending the temporary appointment of Acting General Counsel Lois G. Lerner to Sept. 15, 2001, while the Commission completes the process of selecting a permanent General Counsel.
