FEC ANNOUNCES EXTENDED HOURS

From January 30 through February 3 (Monday – Friday) the hours are 9 a.m. - 7p.m.

 Year-end reports include financial activity through December 31, 2005, and are due by close of business Tuesday, January 31, 2006, if sent by regular mail or hand-delivered. If sent by certified or registered mail, these reports must be postmarked by midnight of the due date. Reports sent via express or priority mail or via overnight delivery service will also be considered timely filed if received by the delivery service by the filing date. Electronically filed reports must be received by midnight, Eastern Time, on the filing date.  Senate campaigns file their reports with the Secretary of the Senate, who then transmits the reports to the FEC. Presidential, House, PAC, and party committees file their reports with the FEC.

Digital images of campaign finance reports are available on the FEC Website, www.fec.gov. All reports filed by PACs, political parties, Presidential, Senate and House campaigns are available for viewing on the Web within 48 hours of the reports being received by the FEC.
