Candidate salaries

A nonincumbent candidate may receive limited compensation from their principal campaign committee under certain conditions. The FEC’s rules for candidate salaries detail those conditions. The Commission also offers a comprehensive summary of the rules, a video overview of the rules, and reporting assistance for campaigns seeking to disclose salary payments on the Candidate salary page of its website.
