AOR 2024-13: DSCC, Montanans for Tester and Gallego for Arizona

On October 10, 2024, the Commission considered an advisory opinion request from DSCC, Montanans for Tester and Gallego for Arizona, concerning their proposed formation of joint fundraising committees to run television ads featuring Senator Jon Tester or Congressman Ruben Gallego and solicit contributions to the joint fundraising committees. The Commission publicly released two draft advisory opinions and one revised draft advisory opinion. The Commission did not approve any of the draft advisory opinions by the required four affirmative votes and concluded its consideration of the request without issuing an advisory opinion.
