2011 Lobbyist bundling threshold

The Federal Election Campaign Act, as amended by the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act of 2007 (HLOGA), requires certain political committees to disclose contributions bundled by lobbyists/registrants and lobbyist/registrant PACs once the contributions exceed a specified threshold amount.
The Commission must adjust the threshold amount at the beginning of each calendar year based on the change in the cost of living since 2006, which is the base year for adjusting this threshold. [FN1] The resulting amount is rounded to the nearest multiple of $100. 2 U.S.C. § 441a(c)(1)(B)(iii). Based on this formula, the lobbyist bundling disclosure threshold for 2011 is $16,200.
