Making contributions to other federal and nonfederal candidates

A federal candidate committee may contribute up to $2,000 per election to the committee of another federal candidate.

Donations from federal candidate committees to state, local or foreign candidates are permissible uses of campaign funds but are subject to the relevant state or foreign laws.
