DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 6-0 to take the following action in MUR 7661: 1. Find no reason to believe that Matt Jones for Kentucky Exploratory Committee and Andrew Jefferson, in his official capacity as treasurer, and Matt Jones violated 52 U.S.C. § 30118(a) by accepting prohibited corporate contributions. 2. Find no reason to believe that iHeart Media, Inc., Simon & Schuster, Inc., and Kentucky Sports Radio, LLC, violated 52 U.S.C. § 30118(a) by making prohibited corporate contributions. 3. Find no reason to believe that Matt Jones for Kentucky Exploratory Committee and Andrew Jefferson in his official capacity as treasurer violated 52 U.S.C. § 30104(b) by failing to report corporate contributions. 4. Approve the Factual and Legal Analysis, as recommended in First General Counsel’s Report dated June 3, 2020, subject to the edits as last circulated by Chair Broussard and Commissioner Weintraub Offices on August 27, 2021 at 11:04 a.m., and the amendment discussed at the table to change the dismissal for the LLC to a finding of no reason to believe. 5. Approve the appropriate letters. 6. Close the file.
