SUBJECT:

DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 5-0 to take the following actions in MUR 5917: 1. Accept the conciliation agreement as to Simmons for Congress and Anne Simeone in her official capacity as treasurer, as recommended in the General Counsel?s Memorandum dated August 13, 2007. 2. Approve the appropriate letter. 3. Close the file.
The Commission decided by a vote of 5-0 to take the following actions in RAD Referral 07L-07: 1. Open a MUR. 2. Find reason to believe that Simmons for Congress and Anne Simeone, in her official capacity as treasurer, violated 2 U.S.C. ยง 434(b). 3. Approve the Factual and Legal Analysis, as recommended in the First General Counsel?s Report dated May 17, 2007. 4. Enter into conciliation with Simmons for Congress and Anne Simeone, in her official capacity as treasurer, prior to a finding of probable cause to believe. 5. Approve the Conciliation Agreement, as recommended in the First General Counsel?s Report dated May 17, 2007. 6. Approve the appropriate letter.
