Bringing Our Seat to the Table: Reflections on the Past, Present, and Future of Black Women Leaders
Summary
On Wednesday, February 21 at 10:30 a.m., Commissioner Shana Broussard will host a panel discussion to celebrate Black History Month. In this third installment, marking the contributions that African Americans have made to the country’s development and ongoing progress, Commissioner Broussard will speak with three women who are notable leaders in politics, labor, and government about their professional careers, the influence of the generations that preceded them, and the legacy they hope to leave for those who follow. The panelists include: Keren Charles Dongo, former State Director, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine; Roxanne Brown, International Vice President at Large, United Steelworkers; and Leah Hill, Legislative Director, U.S. Senator Cory Booker.

To attend in person, please bring a photo ID and be prepared to go through a security check. After security, attendees will be escorted to the Commission's hearing room.
