Commission meetings and hearings
No Commission open meetings or executive sessions were scheduled this week.
Litigation
- Center for Public Integrity v. FEC (Case 1:17-cv-01162-CRC). On September 28, the Plaintiff filed a Cross-Motion for Summary Judgment and Opposition to Commission's Motion for Summary Judgment in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
- CREW v. FEC (Case 1:16-cv-02255-CRC). On September 26, the Plaintiffs filed a Cross-Motion for Summary Judgment in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
- Takala v. FEC (Case 1:17-cv-01715-BAH). On September 27, the Commission filed its Answer in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
Outreach
On September 27 and 28, Senior Communications Specialist Kathy Carothers and Communications Specialists Isaac Baker met with American University students to discuss the role and work of the Commission as well as recent developments in campaign finance law.
Public disclosure
- On September 29, the Commission issued the Statistical Summary of 6-Month Campaign Activity of the 2017-2018 Election Cycle.
