Weekly Digest COMMISSION MEETINGS AND HEARINGS No Commission open meetings or executive sessions were scheduled this week. ENFORCEMENT The Commission made public two closed cases. MUR 6672 MUR 6709 ADMINISTRATIVE FINES The Commission made public three campaign finance enforcement matters that were resolved through its Administrative Fines (AF) program. AF 2554 – Steve Salazar for Congress and Rosario Rodriguez, in her official capacity as treasurer. The Commission made a final determination and assessed a civil penalty of $4,950. AF 2571 – New Directions for America and Edward C. Sweeney, in his official capacity as treasurer. The Commission made a final determination and assessed a civil penalty of $2,150. AF 2598 – Susan Adams for Congress and Tamara S. Hull, in her official capacity as treasurer. The Commission made a final determination and assessed a civil penalty of $250. ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION The Commission made public two campaign finance enforcement matters that were resolved through its Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) program. ADR 632 – Orly Taitz for US Senate 2012, Orly Taitz, in her official capacity as treasurer and Kimball Ladien. The Commission dismissed the case. ADR 634 – Rothfus for Congress, William Haskins, in his official capacity as treasurer; and Tom Smith for Senate and Lisa Lisker, in her official capacity as treasurer.
