Outreach

  • On February 17, Commissioners Lee E. Goodman and Ellen L. Weintraub participated in a panel discussion on "Hot First Amendment Topics: Campaign Finance and the 2016 Election" in Washington, DC. The event was sponsored by the American Bar Association''''s Section of Civil Rights and Social Justice.
  • On February 17, Commissioner Weintraub met with American University students to discuss the role and work of the Commission and recent developments in campaign finance law.
  • On February 17, Commissioner Weintraub met with Members of the Swedish Parliament to discuss issues related to U.S. elections.
  • On February 18, Commissioner Ann M. Ravel provided an overview of campaign finance law, the role of the Commission, and the impact on the 2016 elections at the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University in California.
  • On February 18, Commissioner Ravel participated in a panel discussion on how technology can improve the political process and campaign finance at the Startup Policy Lab in San Francisco, CA.

Disclosure initiatives

  • On February 18, a new version of the Commission calendar debuted on the agency’s beta.fec.gov website. The Commission encourages website visitors to submit comments and questions by clicking on the "Feedback" tab at the bottom of each page.
