COMMISSION MEETINGS AND HEARINGS

On December 10, the Commission held an executive session.

No Commission open meetings were scheduled this week.


LITIGATION

Public Citizen, et al. v. FEC (Case 1:14-cv-00148-RJL). On December 4, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia issued a Minute Order


OUTREACH

Between December 6 and 9, Chair Ann M. Ravel, Commissioner Ellen L. Weintraub and several senior Commission staff members traveled to Boston, Massachusetts, for the annual conference of the Council of Government Ethics Laws (COGEL), a professional organization for government agencies, organizations, and individuals with responsibilities in governmental ethics, elections, campaign finance, lobbying laws and freedom of information.

On December 8, Chair Ravel discussed the role and work of the Commission with a group of political leaders from the National Electoral Court of Peru.

On December 8, Chair Ravel served as a judge for the city Project Soapbox competition sponsored by Mikva Challenge DC.

On December 9, Chair Ravel discussed the Commission and campaign finance law with the members of Women in Government.


PUBLIC DISCLOSURE

On December 4, the Commission’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) made public its 2015 Semiannual Report to Congress covering April 1, 2015 through September 30, 2015.


CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORTS

The Commission posted the filing deadlines for the Special Election in Ohio’s 8th Congressional District. For information on reporting dates for this election, refer to the Special Election Report Notice.

December 17: The Commission is scheduled to hold an open meeting and an executive session.
