SSF-sponsored candidate appearances

An SSF may sponsor an event for a candidate to which the general public is invited and may pay the costs of the event as an in-kind contribution to the candidate. However, if any of the connected organization’s resources are used (such as staff time, catering arrangements, printing, email/mailing list, meeting room), the SSF must pay for the full cost of the use in advance in order to avoid illegal facilitation by the connected organization.
