Mid-Year reporting reminder

July 26, 2021

Quarterly-filing political action committees and party committees have a Mid-Year Report due July 31, covering activity through June 30. During the nonelection year, these committees file only twice (a Mid-Year Report due 7/31/21 and a Year-End Report due 1/31/22), but may need to file additional reports if they make contributions or expenditures in connection with a special election. Remember, reporting periods always begin the day after the closing date of the last report filed.

Staff in the Reports Analysis Division and Electronic Filing Office will be available until 8:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Friday, July 30 to answer committees’ questions regarding their Mid-Year Reports. To reach RAD, call 800-424-9530 (press 5). For help with technical issues relating to electronic filing, dial the same toll-free number and press 4.
