Summer endorsements heat up!

June 25, 2018

During this point of the election cycle, candidates often endorse other candidates in public communications, such as robocalls, tv ads or direct mailings. A public communication in which a federal candidate endorses or solicits funds for another (federal or nonfederal) candidate is not a contribution to the endorsing or soliciting candidate unless the communication promotes or supports the endorsing or soliciting candidate or attacks or opposes that candidate’s opponent.

For more information on ways candidates can support one another in campaign materials and public communications, see "Support from other campaigns."
