September Filing Reminder

September 17, 2012

Committees that file monthly have a report due Thursday, September 20, covering the month of August. Quarterly filers' next scheduled report is due October 15, and covers the third quarter of 2012. Unlike monthly filers, quarterly filers that make contributions or expenditures in connection with special or primary elections may also have to file additional pre- and/or post-election reports. Thus, quarterly filers should refer to the FEC's compliance map if they make contributions/expenditures for special or primary elections, to determine if an additional report is required.
