SCHEDULE SET FOR MAY 17 PUBLIC HEARING ON FEC REGULATIONS

WASHINGTON --The Federal Election Commission will conduct a public hearing beginning at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 17, on proposed rules regarding:

  • Proposed changes governing appearances by federal candidates and officeholders at state, district and local party fundraisers.  Currently, Commission regulations permit federal candidates and officeholders to speak at such fundraisers “without restriction or regulation.”
