New Year, New FEC Software Update

December 31, 2007

On January 2, 2008, FECFile Version 6.1.1.1, supported by a new electronic filing format (Version 6.1), will be available for download from the FEC Web site at https://transition.fec.gov/elecfil/updatelist.shtml. Any report filed after that date must be filed using the new software.

All electronic filers must file their 2007 Year-End report using the new electronic filing format. If you use FECFile, download the new update early in the month; if you use commercial software, contact your vendor to ensure they are using the latest electronic filing format (Version 6.1).
