Last-minute Filing Information for Quarterly Filers

July 15, 2013

Authorized committees have a report due today, July 15, covering activity from the closing date of their last report through June 30. (Note: PACs and party committees that filed quarterly in 2012 file on a semi-annual basis in 2013.) Staff in the Reports Analysis Division (RAD) and Electronic Filing Office will be available until 8:00 pm (EDT) today, July 15, to answer questions regarding the content and filing of reports. To reach RAD, call 1-800-424-9530 (press 5) or 202-694-1130. For help with technical issues relating to electronic filing, dial the same toll-free number and press 4 or call 202-694-1307. Also, be sure to review these tips from past weeks concerning July filing reminders and the suspension of mail delivery to the FEC. While the Commission has begun to receive some first class mail, the postal service has yet to confirm that normal delivery has resumed. As such, filers should consider alternate filing methods, including hand delivery, USPS Express Mail and overnight delivery services. Please note, the Secretary of the Senate’s post office box is located outside the affected area, so Senate filers may continue to submit their FEC reports by first class mail.
