How to Register a "Super PAC."

To register an Independent Expenditure-Only Political Committee (aka "Super PAC"), complete FEC Form 1 (Statement of Organization), checking box 5(f) under "Type of Committee." File the completed form with the FEC, along with a letter clarifying your intent to function as a Super PAC. A Commission-approved template is available on our website. A new registrant or other paper filer may submit the letter and form by registered/certified mail or by overnight mail. Both documents must be signed by the committee's treasurer.Existing committees that file electronically may amend their Statement of Organization by submitting the text of the letter using Form 99.
