Have You Filed Your Form 2 Yet?

Incumbents are reminded that they must file a new Statement of Candidacy (FEC Form 2) (Form 2 Instructions) each election cycle. The Statement of Candidacy is due within 15 days after they have raised or spent more than $5,000 towards the next election, even if no other information about their committee is changing. In the block for "identification number," incumbents enter the same Candidate ID number they were issued for the previous cycle (beginning with H for House, S for Senate or P for President). (Note: Candidates who are filing Form 2 for the first time should leave the ID number section blank.)
