Georgia special election: 9th district

Georgia will hold a special general election on May 11, 2010 to fill a vacancy caused by the resignation of Rep. Nathan Deal.

Under Georgia law, should no candidate receive a majority of votes, a special runoff election will be held between the top two vote-getters on June 8, 2010. The reporting dates for committees involved in these elections are available at https://transition.fec.gov/info/report_dates_2010.shtml#special
