FEC to host Seminar for Candidates and Political Party Committees on October 22 (2025)

The FEC will hold an in-person training event for candidates and political party committees at its Washington, DC headquarters on Wednesday, October 22.

This event is designed for federal candidates and their campaign committees, as well as those who work with political party committees. FEC Commissioners and staff will host a day of interactive workshops on the campaign finance rules that pertain to these types of committees, take your questions and provide updates on recent developments in campaign finance law.

The seminar kicks off with a Basics for Beginners session, starting at 9:15 a.m.. Those with more experience may choose to skip the Basics presentation and register for the Operations and Recent Developments workshops only, which begin at 11:00 a.m.

Candidate and party attendees will attend Basics and Recent Developments together but will break out into separate Committee Operations workshops.

Seminar information

Registration information

Registration is limited, and accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, visit the FEC Training Payment page on Pay.gov (the government’s secure portal for online payments), and select the registration option of your choice. Please note that refunds of automated clearinghouse (ACH) payments are not readily available.
