The Federal Election Commission (Commission) will meet in open session on Thursday December 14, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Commission’s offices at 999 E Street, N.W. in Washington.
The agenda includes election of the Commission''''s Chair and Vice-Chair for 2007.
The Commission will consider two alternative draft Advisory Opinions requested by the National Association of Realtors and Realtors PAC regarding transfers of treasury funds from the national organization to state affiliates along with changes in contribution arrangments from the state affiliates to the national organization''''s PAC. The two draft Advisory Opinions to be considered by the Commission can be found on the FEC website. The original Advisory Opinion request is also available on the Internet.
The Commission will also consider a proposed policy statement offering guidance regarding "purpose of disbursement" information that must be submitted by political committees when they report their financial activity.
