FEC Publishes Adjusted Limits and Thresholds

. Today, the Commission published its Price Index Adjustments for Contribution and Expenditure Limitations and Lobbyist Bundling Disclosure Threshold in the Federal Register. This annual notice informs the public of any adjustments in contribution and expenditure limitations as well as the lobbyist bundling disclosure threshold. For the 2015-2016 cycle, the individual contribution limit has been raised to $2,700 per candidate, per election. This limit is effective retroactively to November 5, 2014. Effective January 1, 2015, the lobbyist bundling disclosure threshold has increased to $17,600. The coordinated party expenditure limit for special general elections for House races has been raised to $48,000 ($96,000 in those states with only one Congressional district). The coordinated party expenditure limits for the general election for Senate races vary by State; see the chart at https://transition.fec.gov/info/charts_cpe_2015.shtml for a table of those limits.
