FEC Finalizes Disclosure Requirements for Contributions Bundled by Lobbyists, Registrants and their PACs
WASHINGTON—The Federal Election Commission today voted unanimously to implement a new disclosure regime for lobbyist bundled contributions. In approving the Explanation and Justification for its Final Rule on Reporting Contributions Bundled by Lobbyists/Registrants and the PACs of Lobbyists/Registrants, the Commission put into effect section 204 of the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act of 2007. The provisions are described in the attached Frequently Asked Questions.
The Federal Election Commission (FEC) is an independent regulatory agency that administers and enforces federal campaign finance laws. The FEC has jurisdiction over the financing of campaigns for the U.S. House, the U.S. Senate, the Presidency and the Vice Presidency. Established in 1975, the FEC is composed of six Commissioners who are nominated by the President and confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
