FEC Approves Audit Division Recommendation Memorandum, 2018 Meeting Dates
WASHINGTON – The Federal Election Commission today approved an Audit Division Recommendation Memorandum and a calendar of meeting dates for the second half of the year.
Audit Division Recommendation Memorandum on Kelly For Congress. The Commission approved one finding in an Audit Division Recommendation Memorandum covering campaign finance activity between March 2, 2015 and December 31, 2016. The approved finding relates to the receipt of contributions that exceed limits. The Commission directed the Audit Division to include in the Additional Issues section a separate proposed finding concerning the receipt of an apparent prohibited contribution from a national bank.
2018 Meeting Dates. The Commission approved the calendar of meeting dates for
July–December, 2018.
The Federal Election Commission (FEC) is an independent regulatory agency that administers and enforces federal campaign finance laws. The FEC has jurisdiction over the financing of campaigns for the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate, the Presidency and the Vice Presidency. Established in 1975, the FEC is composed of six Commissioners who are nominated by the President and confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
