WASHINGTON -- The Federal Election Commission has scheduled weekend and extended hours for the Public Records Office to accommodate press and public seeking review of new quarterly campaign disclosure reports filed by Senate and House candidates, PACs, and political party committees.

From July 15 through July 31 the hours are:

Mondays - Fridays ....................9 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Saturdays...................................10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Sundays......................................12 p.m. - 4 p.m.

July quarterly reports cover financial activity from April 1, 1998, through June 30, 1998. The reports are due by close of business Wednesday, July 15, if sent regular mail or hand-delivered. If sent certified or registered mail, disclosure reports must be postmarked no later than midnight of the due date. Senate campaigns file their reports with the Secretary of the Senate, who then forwards the reports to the FEC. House, PAC, and party committees file their reports with the FEC.
