Coordinated party expenditures in special elections

February 21, 2017

National and state party committees may make limited "coordinated party expenditures" on behalf of their general election nominees, including those running in special general elections. These expenditures may be coordinated with campaigns but do not count as contributions from the party committee. The applicable 2017 coordinated party expenditure limits are available at https://transition.fec.gov/info/charts_cpe_2017.shtml.
