July 24, 2013

On July 11, 2013, the Commission approved an increase in the agency’s civil monetary penalties, as required under the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990. The penalty amounts, many of which were last adjusted in 2009, were published in the Federal Register on July 24, and apply to violations that occur after that date. The final rules are also available through the Commission’s website at http://sers.fec.gov/fosers/.
