California special election reporting: Senate (2024)

October 13, 2023

California has scheduled special elections to fill the remainder of the late Senator Dianne Feinstein’s unexpired U.S. Senate term. The Special Primary Election will be held on March 5, 2024, and the Special General Election will be held on November 5, 2024.

Participating candidates must file additional reports in connection with these elections. PACs and party committees that do not file monthly and make previously undisclosed contributions or expenditures in connection with the special election must also file additional reports. The complete list of deadlines and related filing information is available on the Dates and deadlines page. PACs and party committees that file monthly should continue to file according to their regular filing schedule.
