  • Tips for Treasurers

At least it’s not due on tax day this year!

April 9, 2007

Federal candidates’ campaign committees must file an FEC April Quarterly report due this Sunday, April 15. (PACs and party committees are not required to file this report.) Unlike the deadline for filing your taxes, the FEC’s April 15 filing deadline is fixed and cannot be extended. Paper reports filed by methods other than Registered, Certified or Overnight Mail must be received by that date. The FEC's Public Records Office will be open to receive reports this weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m both days. (For Senate candidates using regular mail or hand delivery, plan to file by the Secretary of the Senate's close of business on Friday, April 13.) If you need help with electronic filing or reporting questions, contact the FEC this week.
