AOR 2018-08: Congressman Darrell Issa

On August 2, 2018, the Commission considered an advisory opinion request (AOR) from Congressman Darrell Issa. In his request, the Congressman asked the Commission if he could transfer funds from his principal campaign committee to his administratively terminated Senate campaign to repay part of a personal loan to the campaign. The Commission was unable to render an opinion by the required four affirmative votes and concluded its consideration of the request.
