Giving thanks to campaign staff, contributors and volunteers

At this time of Thanksgiving, campaigns may be looking for ways to show appreciation to their supporters. While campaign funds cannot be converted to personal use, the Commission has issued several advisory opinions that permit disbursements for holiday cards and thank you notes, mementos, special receptions and bulk purchases of a candidate’s book to give as gifts.
